I remember that day I got my first Neon Obsessions palette by Huda. I was at Sephora and I\’d been craving doing myself a present all day. I wanted some newness in my stash as I love colors, never end up buying the same shades but still. It all looks the same in the end. I went from one brand to another brand and came across the Huda Beauty stand. Saw those Neon palettes, tried them and I was sold.
Things are even better when you go to the till and they ask you if you\’d like to use the 10% discount you\’ve got on your account. I don\’t know how I even got that as I\’m not a recurrent Sephora customer but to get your first Huda Beauty palette at €27 instead of €30 is kinda cool especially if you weren\’t supposed to buy makeup that day !
That was the first palette I got. Since all my palette buys, as I often say, have to be versatile, I loved it at first sight because I saw a way to make a blush or a highlight with almost all the shades from the palette. I actually already did create some blushes with it on photoshoots and I was amazed at how cool it looked. The palette is very small indeed but the quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows more than make up for it so I\’ll gladly buy another of her 9-pan palettes should another one catch my attention.
All the shimmery/glittery shades are more eyeshadow toppers than actual, really pigmented eyeshadows except the blueish purple in the middle and the bright pink at the bottom. Intense and amazing, they made me happy as soon as I saw them.
Now I wasn\’t sure whether I should get this one. First, because I was running low on money – as per usual #makeupaddict – but also because I wasn\’t sure of that yellow at the bottom. Would I actually use it ? Or would I buy it on a whim ?
Actually, this palette also makes great blushes but this time, more on the warm side. You only need to tap your brush slightly in the pan to get all the pigment you need for a lifetime. The pans are small, but with some skill and a tiny wee bit of patience you can totally get some eyeshadow with a bigger brush. The bright orange, bright yellow and bright purple are my favorites in this palette – I think you can tell I bought it for the blush role in my stash. I haven\’t tried them as eyeliners yet but I shall do so soon ! x
