I\’m utterly in love with this Sepia Flapper look which I\’ve created for a collaboration with my friend Cindy, a really cool makeup artist and friend who loves color just as much as I do ! This collaboration\’s theme was the Roaring 20\’s, in other words, to recreate our own Gatsby look.
And I, for one, am a sucker for the makeup from past times, especially the 20\’s, the 50\’s and the 60\’s which are the most impacting to me. I\’m not mentioning the 80\’s because I\’m using this in my looks all the time – the eighties have become a deep part of my art in the huge splashes of color, they\’re not just a mere inspiration that I use from time to time.
I\’m very happy with the eye shape I managed to create – from time to time I\’ll go way overboard and struggle to keep the shape of the eyeshadow close to the eye and this time, it turned out just fine. I primarily used the Boss Mood eyeshadow palette
that a very good friend of Mine brought me back from a trip to Los Angeles – what a great present she made me… I\’ve actually just ordered the Stunning Vibes palette from Lookfantastic and can\’t wait to get it in the mail to see if the quality is as great !
I\’ll be reviewing the Boss Mood palette ASAP – let me just tell you, I am in awe with the metallic shades, they\’re all so beautiful, it\’s always really hard to choose which ones I\’m gonna use when I want to create a new look !
I\’m super happy with how the lipstick looks on me. I sometimes keep away from warm-toned, orangey shades (except from MAC\’s Marrakesh lipstick
but it\’s a different case) and with Sunbasque, which I\’d never wear in the daytime or at work, the match is made.
About that khaki eyeshadow. At some point in my life, I used to use khaki all the time and collect all things khaki. I must have thought it looked great on me, I still do. What I\’m most happy with here is the coppery eyeshadow I\’ve applied on my lower lashline. Excuse me, can you see just how popping and metallic and bold and fierce it looks ?! You know me. I\’m usually no sucker for browns and nudes but wow… It has definitely made me want to create more looks with brown. And more looks with the Boss Mood palette !
The possibilities within this palette are endless !
