What\’s the hardest thing when I do a makeup is trying to combine two or three given colors that I can\’t change, like I do when I\’m participating in the Monday Shadow Challenge
. Sometimes the colors don\’t match at all, sometimes they match super well but I absolutely want to think outside of the box. If I call myself a makeup artist, I might as well live up to the title, right ?
This week\’s Monday Shadow Challenge was to use both dark blue and pastel pink in a look. I have to admit, the pink is far from being pastel but I did think it would turn out lighter than this – it\’s actually the Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Kit in Pose that I bought a week ago or so and got in the mail the very day I decided to do this look. Remember how I wrote a post about two Lip Kits from Barry M in the shades Blowout and Runway last week ? Well, that\’s the same range of kits and they\’re honestly sooo good. I\’ll review all of them in a roundup post someday soon, I\’m hoping – I have SO MANY nice things to show you guys in the meantime, my planning is booked up !
I\’m really happy with how this look turned out. While sometimes it\’s very hard to coordinate colors together in a challenge, sometimes the ideas just pop and I\’ll asemble a look in my head and create it the day after, preferably when I\’m off work.
For Loops of Escapism
, what I first thought of was the title. Sometimes I\’ll think up titles for looks and write them down and go from there. So I needed to do some loops for which I used one of my 3ina Cream Eyeshadows
, one of the greatest and coolest cream products I own. They\’re metallic, they\’re shiny and I hadn\’t used them in a long time so that was the perfect occasion. Same went for the Faso eyeshadow from my Juvia\’s Place Magic palette
, which I\’m in love with but rarely use on myself even though it is a staple for my photoshoots. That duochrome purple is one I\’m living for. Cute, absurd little look, isn\’t it ? Xx
