\”Broken bottles in the hotel lobby,
Seems to me like I\’m just scared of never feeling it again.
I know it\’s crazy to believe in silly things,
But it\’s not that easy.\”
– High Hopes, Kodaline
I was listening to the song High Hopes by Kodaline that I\’d heard in the movie Love, Rosie and the first words, \”Broken Bottles\” resonated inside my head and I knew that was the theme of my next makeup look. I just wanted something really big on the eyes and got to digging in my makeup collection to find the darkest green I could find – and dug out a loose eyeshadow from the brand Sigil Inspired I\’d never really used. It\’s like a pigment and a really fine glitter powder at the same time which makes it super bright.
Also, I\’m using my M.A.C. Really Me lipstick for the first time here – I love this lipstick so, so much. It\’s really hard to wear on its own except if you\’re really pale and/or blonde. It\’s got this greyish shade to it that I love. The song High Hopes is about a breakup, at least that\’s what the first words of the song made me think about and that\’s why I wanted something that looked a bit trashy on the eyes, so I added some of my beloved Danessa Myricks ColorFix Glaze in Kaleidoscope and let time do its job and destroy the perfection of the green color. I love how strong I look with this look on, like I could survive anything.
