Two weeks ago, M.A.C. released a new collection called Get Blazed, a collection that strongly reminds me of the Bling Thing collection we had around Christmas and New Year\’s time ; glitter, shine, more glitter, more shine.
In this collection, you\’ll find four liquid matte metallic lipsticks that come straight from the Bling Thing collection (same colors except some have been discontinued so there are only four remaining), four new foiled Extra Dimension eyeshadows, two powder highlighters (the same as the Bling Thing ones minus Dazzlered which has not been rebranded), four Shiny Pretty glitter eyeshadows (two new shades, two rebranded), four new Liquid Lip Top Coats and two liquid highlighters I\’d really been eyeing called Dazzle Drops.
M.A.C. Cosmetics | Get Blazed Shiny Pretty Shadow in Glitz Please
Glitz Please is one of the new shades from the Shiny Pretty Shadow range, a beautiful medium pink with silver glitter. The other new shade, Put U On Gold is a kind of golden khaki, amazing as well but I\’m thinking that for spring, this pink is truly awesome. The texture is really different from anything I\’ve seen before as it\’s a kind of glitter that still has a colorful base, like an eyeshadow so you don\’t really need a glitter primer – even though you\’ll get a better result with it and your fingers to pack it on. I like to use Fix+ to make the eyeshadow more glittery but don\’t use too much otherwise it get a little crumbly. What has particularly always made me happy with these glitter eyeshadows is that I can totally understand that M.A.C. is trying to make glitter more user-friendly to anyone and everyone, from the person who never wears makeup to the makeup artist and that is really cool.
M.A.C. Cosmetics | Get Blazed Bling Thing Liquid Lip Top Coat in Deliciously Disruptive
Now that is something I love ! I\’m really enjoying top coats of any kind these days, for the eyes, for the lips, it doesn\’t matter, I\’ll use it and I\’ll love it, especially on photoshoots.
Deliciously Disruptive is a true rose gold, the texture is really good and even though it\’s not exactly transferproof, the lasting time is really good, even when you use it above a non-transferproof lipstick. I\’ve used it on top of the Satin lipstick Twig and the result was really cool ! Also, if you use it lightly, you can use it as a highlighter too or even as an eyeshadow topper or on its own on your eyes. I\’m crazy for multipurpose products and this is really a plus in my kit ! I\’m not a big fan of the other shades so I\’m super happy I got gifted this one.
M.A.C. Cosmetics | Get Blazed Dazzle Drops in Dazzlepeach & Dazzlepink
Here we go, my favorite products of the whole collection. Maybe you\’ve seen my post about the L.A. Girl Glowin\’ Up Jelly Highlighters, maybe not, but if you haven\’t, you totally should. One of the trends lately has been jelly highlighters or highlighters that give you that wow, wet effect and well… These two Dazzle Drops liquid highlighters are da bomb. Truly, unconditionnally. Okay, I might have some trouble using the pump, maybe the product is too thick or something. But, I\’ve used them on my cheekbones, on my eyes, on my lips as a topper and wow.
One of my favorite ways to use them is definitely everywhere on my body, shoulders and décolleté because it never looks too much, it\’s like self-tanning but more in a self-glittering kind of way. They\’re sparkly, wet-looking, they don\’t feel sticky and they\’re very different from one another as the peachy one is more of a veil of color that reminds me of the Peachlight Strobe Cream from M.A.C. while the pink one is more glitter, a mix of pink and blue and silver that looks stunning. In my experience with them, the Dazzlepeach one looks really good on dark skins while the Dazzlepink is awesome on someone fair-skinned – and it comes in a whopping 30 mL bottle ! I\’m really happy with these and maybe M.A.C. will release some more shades someday ?
Have you indulged in some products of the Get Blazed collection ? x
