While I was writing this post, I listened to Better With You by Jesse McCartney. Try it !
I just wanted to show you guys some lipsticks I\’ve been wearing and loving a lot lately and since it\’s springtime now, let\’s get colorful around here ! I\’m not a girl who wears a lot of nude lip colors because I feel naked and blaaah when I wear a color that looks like my lips – what\’s the use ?
Since I\’ve got short hair, I can wear almost any color and I know it will suit me – that\’s one of the reasons I don\’t want to make my hair grow long again ! Any color, yes, but those that suit me the best are really bright pinks and oranges so that\’s what I\’m using most these days. I\’m going to tell you a little bit about every one of the lipsticks I\’m showing you in the order of the swatches.

Kiko Milano | Smart Fusion Lipsticks in 422 & 427

Up until one or two months ago, I didn\’t own any Smart Fusion Lipstick from Kiko – they\’re the lipsticks from the basic range that cost €3.95 each. The first one I got is number 430, a beautiful berry lipstick that\’s super pigmented. I\’m a real sucker for the Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencils (€2.50 each) and I found out not long ago that the lipsticks and lip pencils from this range actually match ! Two of my favorite shades are #422 (described as a crimson red, more of a warm-toned reddish pink) and #427 (described as a lively pink, more of a cool-toned purplish pink). Both look really good on my pale skin (I\’m a M.A.C. NC20) and since I\’m loving glossier, lacquered lipsticks more and more these days, these do the job perfectly. The second swatch picture shows both lipsticks on the matching lipliners (#522 and #527), which is how I wear them – I never wear the lipsticks without lipliner because I want the color to be full and creamy and punchy.

Lottie London | #Holo Lip Gloss in Shade

I\’m so in love with that lip gloss. I haven\’t actually worn it that much but I\’m planning to wear it more. I\’ve got a Fenty Beauty lipgloss from the Summer Nights trio called Snake Skin that looks like that but this baby reminds me of the amazing week I spent last year in London doing photoshoots – I went in the Oxford Street Superdrug store and found this. I was planning on doing a weird, futuristic photoshoot with it and it never happened but I\’ve found I can wear this on a dark base to make the color shift more visible or on its own for a more natural look. It cost me £5.95 which is super duper affordable and there are 4 shades so as I\’m going to the London IMATS in May, I\’m SO checking out the other shades !

Sephora | Cream Lip Stain in shade 90

I got this liquid matte lipstick as a Christmas present from one of my very best friends when I was looking for a dupe of M.A.C.\’s Tailored to Tease and I\’m in love with it. It\’s just a perfect bright pink, not too bright, not too cool, not too anything and I love it in the Cream Lip Stain formula which I\’ve always found super velvety and comfortable. I\’m thinking of buying more of Sephora\’s shades, by the way – some of the brightest, of course ! I\’ve come to have quite the number of Cream Lip Stains so I\’m thinking of posting about them soon !

M.A.C. Cosmetics | Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Quite the Standout

This is the very last M.A.C. lipstick I got for myself, when I was in my orange lipstick phase. It\’s a super bright sunny orange, slightly red-toned and as pigmented as pigmented gets. I love how I can wear this with just bronzer and mascara and my eyebrows done and it does the whole look ! I used to be really afraid of orange lipsticks and Quite the Standout just satisfied my orange craving.

M.A.C. Cosmetics | Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Tailored to Tease

This has got to be my favorite M.A.C. lipstick ever. Whenever I wear this, I feel hot, sexy and I know the color brightens up my face as soon as the applicator touches my lips. Tailored to Tease is a kind of cool-toned fuchsia that makes both my skin look brighter and my teeth look white and I look sooo feminine with it ! I\’ve got one and as soon as it\’s finished, I\’m going back for a new one ! At M.A.C. we are used to use our Retro Matte Liquid lipsticks as primers for colorful or dark smoky eye looks and that\’s what I\’ve done not a long time ago on a photoshoot with Quite the Standout and the orange shade from Juvia\’s Tribe palette – it does the job perfectly.

Have you tried any of these lipsticks or any from the same range ? What are your go-to lipsticks for springtime ? x
